Admit Card
Admit cards and exam city intimation slips, with the correct portal for each. Several boards issue admit cards through regional websites rather than the main national one, which is where most candidates get stuck.

New to this? The city slip and the admit card are different documents, and only one gets you into the hall.
When admit cards appear
Most boards release an exam city slip roughly ten days before the exam and the admit card itself around four days before. The city slip tells you where and when. The admit card is the document you actually carry.
SSC is the common source of confusion here, and the download route appears to have moved to the central portal this cycle after years on the regional sites. The SSC CGL Tier-1 page covers both routes.
What to carry
A colour printout of the admit card with a photograph attached where indicated, one original photo identity document, and a transparent ballpoint pen. Photocopies of ID are not accepted. Electronic items including smartwatches and fitness bands are barred from the hall.
