Editorial policy

This page explains where information on DC Job comes from, how it is checked, and what happens when it turns out to be wrong.

Sourcing

Every recruitment page is built from the official notification PDF published by the recruiting body. Aggregator websites are not used as a source. They are sometimes used to find out that a notification exists, but nothing is published from them.

The notification reference number appears in the source box at the foot of each page. If it is missing, the page has not been verified and should not be relied on.

What gets checked before publishing

  • Vacancy count, and whether it is tentative or revised
  • Application opening and closing dates
  • Fee payment deadline, which is routinely a day later than the form deadline
  • Correction window dates and charges
  • Age limits and the reference date they are calculated on
  • Application fee by category
  • The official portal URL, opened and confirmed in a browser

That last one matters more than it sounds. Recruitment phishing sites register lookalike domains, and a wrong link on a page about paying a fee sends a candidate to somebody collecting card details.

When sources disagree

Public reporting of the same recruitment frequently carries different vacancy counts and different deadlines, usually because a figure was revised and not everyone updated. Where the official PDF settles it, the PDF wins. Where it does not, the page states the range and tells you to confirm on the official portal.

Updating

When a corrigendum is issued, the existing page is edited and a dated line is added recording what changed. A second page is never published for the same recruitment, because that splits the information and leaves an outdated version live.

Every page carries the time it was last updated. When a recruitment closes, the page stays online and becomes the admit card and result page for that cycle rather than being deleted.

Corrections

Errors are corrected on the page itself, with a dated note saying what was wrong. Nothing is quietly edited. An example sits at the foot of the SSC CGL Tier-1 page, where an early draft described the recruitment as open when applications had already closed.

To report something, use the corrections page or write to contact@haryanadcjob.com. Claims are checked against the official notification before any change is made.

Independence

This site carries advertising. Advertisers have no involvement in what is published, and no recruitment is covered, omitted or described differently because of a commercial relationship. Links to official government portals are never paid placements.
