Recruitment phishing is real and it is targeted. Lookalike domains are registered before every big notification, and a wrong link on a page about paying an application fee sends candidates to someone collecting card details.
This is the list of portals we link to across this site. Bookmark the ones relevant to you and start from here rather than from a forwarded message.
How to tell a real one. Indian government recruitment portals almost always sit on a .gov.in or .nic.in domain. Anything ending .com, .in alone, or with hyphens and extra words in the domain is not the recruiting body — including this site. We are an independent information website and we never collect fees.

Note the split: you apply at rrbapply.gov.in, but admit cards and results often come through a regional board site or an exam vendor domain. Both are legitimate. Start from the board site rather than a link you were sent.

Employment News is underused. It is the government's own weekly vacancy publication and it carries notifications that never reach aggregator sites, particularly from smaller departments and research institutions.
Four rules that keep you safe
- Type the address or use a bookmark. Do not click portal links from WhatsApp forwards, even from people you trust.
- Check the domain ends .gov.in or .nic.in before entering anything.
- No legitimate recruiter takes a fee on a department's behalf. Fees are paid on the department's own portal, never through an intermediary.
- No result ever costs money to view. A site asking for payment or bank details alongside a roll number is a scam.
If a link on this site is wrong or dead, tell us and we will fix it the same day. Wrong portal links are the errors we treat as most urgent.
