First window closed 7 October — second closes 22 October
UKSSSC Group C 2026 — Two Separate Windows, Two Deadlines
The Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission has two Group C windows open, closing on 7 October and 22 October 2026 respectively.
They are separate notifications with separate post lists. Applying to one does not enter you for the other, and candidates routinely miss the second because they assume the first covered everything.
What is open
| Notification | Last date |
|---|---|
| Group C, various posts | 7 October 2026 |
| Group C, Scaler and allied posts | 22 October 2026 |
What Group C covers
Group C in state service is the broad band covering clerical, technical and field posts below gazetted level. Qualifications range from Class 10 to graduate depending on the post, which means a single notification can contain vacancies you are eligible for alongside many you are not.
Read the post-wise table rather than the headline. Candidates apply to the notification rather than to a post, then discover at verification that their qualification did not match the role they selected.
Domicile matters in Uttarakhand recruitment. Several state posts carry residence or domicile conditions, and horizontal reservations specific to the state apply. If you are applying from outside Uttarakhand, read the eligibility paragraph carefully before paying the fee.
Practical notes
- Check which of the two notifications covers the post you want, and note its own deadline.
- Category and domicile certificates must be in the format the commission specifies, in the validity window it specifies.
- State commissions run longer recruitment cycles than central bodies. Apply broadly rather than waiting on one result.
- Our application checklist covers the document errors that cause most rejections.
Where else to look
If you are targeting state Group C work generally, most states run an equivalent subordinate services commission on its own calendar. The graduate jobs guide and 12th pass guide cover how state routes compare with central recruitment on competition and cycle length.
