MP Police Constable 2026 — 7,500 Posts, Correction Window Still Open
The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board is recruiting 7,500 Police Constable (General Duty) posts across the Special Armed Force and non-SAF cadres. Applications closed on 6 October 2026.
The correction window is still open until 11 October, so if you applied and made an error, you have a few days. The written exam begins 19 November 2026.

Two portals, which confuses people every cycle. MPESB publishes the notification, results and admit cards at esb.mp.gov.in, but applications are submitted through mponline.gov.in. They are different sites and both are legitimate. If a link sends you somewhere else entirely, it is not MPESB.
Eligibility was assessed as on 6 October
MPESB set 6 October 2026 as the cut-off for all eligibility conditions, which is the same as the closing date rather than an earlier reference date. That is unusual — most central recruitments use a date months earlier — and it worked in candidates' favour this cycle.
Use the age eligibility checker to see how reference dates differ across recruitments, because this one is the exception rather than the pattern.
What happens next
- Correction window — until 11 October. Fix errors now; this is your only opportunity.
- Written examination — from 19 November 2026, across centres in Madhya Pradesh.
- Physical Efficiency Test and Physical Measurement Test.
- Document verification and medical examination.
The scale of this recruitment is worth understanding before November. A recent MP Police constable cycle for the same 7,500 posts drew around 9.78 lakh applications, of which roughly 6.86 lakh actually appeared. That is about 130 applicants per vacancy among those who turned up.
Physical standards eliminate more candidates than the written paper does. Height, chest and endurance requirements are checked after the exam, and they are not negotiable. If you have applied, start physical preparation now rather than after the written result — there is usually only a few weeks between the two, which is not enough time to build running capacity from nothing.

Source. Compiled from the MPESB notification dated 9 September 2026, cross-checked across several independent reports on 7 October 2026. The 7,500 vacancy figure, the 22 September to 6 October window, the 11 October correction deadline and the 19 November exam start are consistent across sources.
Note on the applicant figure: the 9.78 lakh application count cited above is from a recent MP Police constable cycle for the same post count, included for scale. It is not a figure for this cycle, which MPESB has not published.
